Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

A wild ride awaits you in Tarantino's latest film "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." This movie truly transports you back into Hollywood of 1969 with all of the neon signs, hippie styles, films that have definitely aged, and of course, the Manson family. Leonardo DiCaprio takes the lead as Rick Dalton, along with Brad Pitt playing his stunt double Cliff Booth. The star studded cast doesn't end there, with Margot Robbie playing Sharon Tate, along with appearances by Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, Timothy Olyphant, Luke Perry, Kurt Russell, and the list just goes on and on. Just like any 2 hour and 40 minute movie, this film does have its slow moving parts that call into question the motive of the story. However, the ending makes it all worth it. Tarantino's script will have you on the edge of your seat one minute and hysterically laughing the next. One aspect of this movie that I absolutely love is that it is a homage to movies and the people that bring these stories to life. A simple moment that I adored is when Sharon Tate went to the movies to see the latest film she was in just so that she could hear the audience's reaction to the work that she put in. If you love award's season as much as I do then you are guaranteed to see this movie when nominations start rolling in. Of course this film does have some negatives to it, but overall I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend going to see it in theaters.
